Mercedes-Benz Delivers Over One Million C-Class Cars in Current Series

Since the launch of the C-Class Mercedes-Benz in 2007 about one million C-Class cars have been sold in that production series.

Dr Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars, confirmed that the C-Class is the German brand's best-selling production series vehicle.

"Despite last year's weak market environment, sales of the sedan are currently four percent higher than those of the predecessor model during the same period since its market launch," he commented.

"The estate has also been met with an outstanding response, with deliveries increasing by 20 percent in June."

Even more, Mercedes-Benz confirmed that, from the time the car was introduced on the market, over 840,000 C-Class cars and more than 160,000 C-Class wagons have been sold world wide.

Mercedes-Benz said that sales of the C-Class saloon gained 19 percent in Western Europe as a whole, although the US remains the largest market for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, making up of about 25 percent of the total sales numbers.
