Mercedes-Benz will put their A-Class E-Cell into production later this year. This all-electric compact five-seater will be produced in an initial run of only 500 units.

The E-Cell utilizes an electric motor that delivers up to 95 horsepower. On average, the engine puts out 68 horsepower, which lets it hit 62 mph in 14 seconds. It has a slow but economical 0-37 mph time of 5.5 seconds. The car…
Since Mercedes-Benz has long mastered the terrain, it is only natural to expect its eventual dive into the ocean. That day has just arrived. Mercedes-Benz has teamed up with Cigarette Racing to engineer the custom 46-foot "AMG Cigarette Rider" that is guaranteed to turn a lot of heads out on the water. While this speed-hungry beast is powered by two twin-turbo-charged 1,350 horsepower Mercury engines, most of the design elements pay homage to SLS…

Mbrace Goes Even More Mobile

As we increasingly rely on mobile devices to facilitate our every move, Mercedes-Benz has answered our prayers by upgrading the "mbrace" telematics platform to fully link the onboard navigation system with the iPhone. The initial version of mbrace, which first appeared in November 2009, allowed MB drivers to use their iPhones to unlock their automobiles, pinpoint their cars in congested parking lots, and find the nearest dealerships and service stations. Version 2.0 includes all…

The deflector, which cradles backseat passengers as adequately as the front, makes for an extremely civilized driving…

In the August edition of Wired, the unapologetically edgy magazine ranked fast four-door automobiles and decided on C63 for the editor's pick of the litter. After testing various candidates in the category dubbed "Fast Family Cars for High-Performance Parents", C63 ultimately gained support as the most practical option for a top performance vehicle that can dually function as an everyday family car. The editor cites C63's "pitch-perfect symphony of performance, luxury, and utility?

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Details Emerge

After months of trying to get more information some details about the styling and possible release date of Mercedes-Benz's SLK Coupe have emerged.

The car has appeared on a test track in Michigan or somewhere in the Midwest, according to sources. The SLK has also been doing some hot-weather testing around Death Valley in the California-Nevada desert region.

SLK was spotted by photo journalists still wearing heavy camo, there's not much new to see, though. There seems to be a new design paradigm for its flatter nose borrowed from the SLS Gullwing.

As for a performance variant, Mercedes-Benz…
