"With the debuts of three new vehicles at the Paris Motor Show 2010, Mercedes-Benz has pledged to make an emphatic statement about the power of its innovation to marry "automotive fascination with the highest levels of efficiency and environmental compatibility".

The manufacturer observed that the new models - the Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe, the A-Class E-CELL and the new S 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - represent the intelligent drive mix created as the basis for individually tailored 'green' mobility.

Mercedes-Benz will put their A-Class E-Cell into production later this year. This all-electric compact five-seater will be produced in an initial run of only 500 units.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Details Emerge

After months of trying to get more information some details about the styling and possible release date of Mercedes-Benz's SLK Coupe have emerged.

The car has appeared on a test track in Michigan or somewhere in the Midwest, according to sources. The SLK has also been doing some hot-weather testing around Death Valley in the California-Nevada desert region.

SLK was spotted by photo journalists still wearing heavy camo, there's not much new to see, though. There seems to be a new design paradigm for its flatter nose borrowed from the SLS Gullwing.

Leaked: 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS

Most auto makers tend to keep big surprises under wraps until the Paris Motor Show, but sometimes a vehicle or two will leak. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS, which has been revealed thanks to a leaked brochure. 

Pieces in the leaked information are the latest spy photos, official company photos, vehicle specifications and time Mercedes-Benz's trial results taken at the Nurburgring Nordschleife test course.

As expected, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS features E-Class influenced styling and the Shooting Brake Concept. Upgraded details include flared wheel arches, a sloping roofline, LED fog lights, and optional LED headlights.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Considered as Best Luxury Car

Over the past five years, the Mercedes-Benz S-class has been awarded the Best Luxury Car at the Auto Express New Car Awards of 2010.

David Johns, Auto Express Editor in Chief, said the S-Class maintains the top place in the in the luxury car lineup "despite the best efforts of the competition."

According to johns, the S-Class car is an eye catching vehicle that will meet the needs of all motorists.

Since the launch of the C-Class Mercedes-Benz in 2007 about one million C-Class cars have been sold in that production series.

Dr Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars, confirmed that the C-Class is the German brand's best-selling production series vehicle.

"Despite last year's weak market environment, sales of the sedan are currently four percent higher than those of the predecessor model during the same period since its market launch," he commented.
