Safety First With New Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Mercedes-Benz® has always been a leading automotive company dedicated to innovating and changing the automotive landscape. Especially in regards to safety, innovation, luxury, and technology. The new 10th generation of the Mercedes-Benz® E-Class will be no different and it will be Mercedes’s most technologically packed car ever.
The new E-Class will have many safety firsts for not only the brand, but the automotive industry as a whole. An updated Pre-Safe® system that Mercedes-Benz® pioneered with the W220 S-Class, will now feature a crash silencing noise that will protect occupants ears from a collision. As well as a side bolster inflator that will push you away from a side impact increasing chances of survival and protect your ribs, arms, and back from crash forces.
Evasive SteeringAssist will autonomously steer the car away from a collision or lessen the damage incurred on the vehicle and yourself. The new E-Class will also have the usual optional accompaniment of driver assists you should expect from Mercedes-Benz® such as: Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keep Assist, Distronic® Plus adaptive cruise control, BAS® Plus, and Pedestrian Recognition.
The all new interior of the E-Class will be a mixture of both the S-Class and C-Class with large optional 12.3 inch displays from the S-Class and a center console from the C-Class. Look for the new E-Class the have the best new interior in a car under $70,000 and have plenty of options for the interior with Designo® wood options, and supple multi-toned leather packages.
The new E-Class will get a second generation MULTI-BEAM? adaptive headlamps with 84 individual LED’s changing the light pattern for better vision on dark roads and changing traffic conditions. Dual 12.3 inch screens up front in the cabin, along with a new updated COMAND® navigation system will be setting a new benchmark for this class. A Burmester® Surround Sound System will be standard along with an optional Burmester® 3D Surround Sound System will be optional with over 18 speakers. Perfect for the audiophile’s out there.
At launch the new E-Class will get a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 241 HP and 273 LB-FT going through Mercedes’ new 9G-Tronic 9 speed automatic transmission. This model will be called the E 300. We should expect other engine options as we get closer to the launch.
We should also be expecting a E 300d Diesel option, E 350e plug-in-hybrid option, E 400 bi-turbo V6 option, an E43 AMG, and a E 63 AMG to come around in the year. A wagon version will also be coming here to the U.S. most likely winter 2016.
