The Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System for all late models displays reminders in the vehicle’s driver information center, alerting drivers when it’s time to book an appointment with their trusted Master Certified Technicians. Of course, ignoring these reminders isn’t advised. Designed by Mercedes-Benz engineers, Service A and B create a safer, more efficient driving experience by servicing the most hard-working parts of your vehicle.
Service A and Service B alternate throughout the duration of your ownership to keep maintenance in check. For most late-model Mercedes-Benz vehicles, Service A is required after 1 year or 10,000 miles. During Service A (for MY09 and newer),** your vehicle will receive an oil and filter change^, tire pressure inspection, brake component inspection, and finally, maintenance counter reset. The second service interval – Service B (for MY09 and newer)** – is scheduled at the 2-year/20,000-mile mark. This interval covers all Service A repairs, as well as cabin filter replacement and brake fluid exchange.
